Some Todos Santos Tidbits

I don’t have much time but wanted to share this stuff. I just saw a poster on the corner of Juarez and Topete that appears to be advertising a “Lucha Libre” here in Todos Santos at the auditorium on August 1. For those who don’t know, that’s a wrestling match, as in WWF. Flamboyant and theatrical. Right here in Todos Santos. Oh boy!!!

Next, there will indeed be a Mango Festival, July 31 through August 3. Among other events it will include a walking race of unknown length. Most of the festival will occur in bario San Ignacio. When I get more info on the events, I’ll post it here. There will be performances at night (folk dancing, singing, etc. somewhat like the Art Festival) and public dances too. It seemed to me that most of the events occur at night. More to come.

And finally this, after a nudge from Dave Higgins  (father of Marimar, father-in-law of Oscar Moreno, grandfather of Santi) – the Chicago Tribune published a pretty decent look at visiting Todos Santos in their July 13 edition. The stories are still online and worth a visit. I had already read them all but Dave reminded me that I should be posting the links for others to enjoy. Thanks Dave!
