While walking back and forth between Hotel California and Buena Vida, I was amazed at the beauty of the empty zocalo. It was so peaceful. No one else was even out on the streets.

The sharp eyed among us will notice the circle of candles and two bowls in this photo. It looks sort of pagan to me but maybe it’s a Catholic thing that I am not familiar with. Or maybe a pagan thing that Catholics still practice. Anyway, there it is. The lighted cross on the church is new this December.
