This year’s celebration at Hotel California was a bit more subdued that in the past. There was a gourmet sit-down dinner and after dinner music was provided by Flashback but the fire dancers and a second band were absent this year. Less people attended, likely a due to a combination of a new party in Pescadero at Rancho Pescadero, the other downtown option offered by Buena Vida and the trying economic times. The people who did show up had a great time, eating, drinking and dancing the year away.
The smaller crowd meant more food and better service for all the happy attendees. All in all, it was a win-win situation.
