The remnants of Arlene continue to dog us. Cloudy nearly all day on July4th. Cloudy that night too. Inside my house temps down to only 79F last night. Humid too. We get enough heat and humidity from Pacific storms. We really don’t need Atlantic ones to cross over and bring even more heat/mugginess.
I guess summer has stealthily snuck in this time. Very different from my 14 previous summers here.

I just stayed at the Pescadero Palace and had a great vacation, although it did rain a bit yesterday. It must have been the remnnnts of Arlene, althogh my husband still played ping pong with the owner, Robert Quirk, and I laid out by the pool, very relaxing. I don’t want to go home!
Rhonda, a pool is a great thing to have when the summer heat comes marching in, like right now. Quirky is a great guy and excellent host – you can’t ask for a better place to stay right by the San Pedrito surf break. He’s also a dangerous poker player! Don’t go home – buy a casita and hang loose in Baja California Sur!
